RYA VHF Radio course (SRC) Short Range Certificate is essential for anyone who takes a VHF Radio with them to sea, VHF Radio is the primary means of calling for assistance at Sea, taking this course will ensure you understand how to use a VHF Radio correctly and how to use it in case of emergency.
Classroom based RYA Short Range Certificate courses held in venues in Preston, Lancashire and Liverpool, Merseyside.
- CEVNI Online Test
CEVNI Online Test - CEVNI stands for Code Européen des Voies de Navigation Intérieure. It is the code governing navigation on the interconnected European inland waterways. This test is taken via the RYA Interactive website at a cost of £25 per person.
- RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship Course - Online
RYA Online - Essential Navigation & Seamanship on-line course is now available to you where ever you have access to the Internet, you will be able to complete this Interactive course, Anytime - Anywhere - at your own pace, this will be backed up with support from your course tutor via phone,email or via post.
- RYA First Aid Course
The RYA First Aid course provides a working knowledge of life saving first aid skills for all persons who go afloat on inland waters or up to 60 nautical miles from a safe haven. The syllabus is based on recommendations of the HSE and the MCA.
- VHF DSC Marine radio refresher course (Workshop)
This course is aimed at persons who may have already have passed their RYA VHF Radio course and would now also like a refresher course to update their skills and knowledge, regarding how to operate Digital Calling VHF Radio equipment. Course duration 3 hours.
- RYA VHF Radio course (SRC) - Online
The new Online interactive RYA VHF Radio course is another option instead of taking a classroom tuitored 10 hour course, take this course over the Internet at home with full tutor support.
This course can be take on a PC, MAC and iPad
- RYA Day Skipper Course Online
The RYA Day Skipper Online course gives you the flexibility to take the course at Home or at Sea via the Internet, the course is fully modular and can be taken in your own time at your own pace. you will also have support from your own tutor. * Please note this course is CD or USB Flash drive based *

- RYA VHF (SRC) - exam only
If you have taken the RYA VHF Radio course via another RYA Training centre other than Seavoice Training or Estuary Training, be it in a classroom or an online there will be a small surcharge of £15 payable to Seavoice Training before you attend your SRC exam.
The fee for the RYA SRC Exam is £60 payable to the RYA on the day of your Exam.
*£15 surcharge only applies to non Seavoice Training or Estuary Training students*

- MCA STCW 95 Officer of the Watch (Yachts up to 3,000 GRT)
This STCW 95 course means that an overall MCA certificate can be obtained by a system of combining theory and practice by Blended Learning. (Study at home or at sea) after successful completion of the Theory exams we then feed you into an MCA approved Nautical College to complete the practical elements.
