RYA VHF RADIO Short Range Certificate Course (SRC)
The RYA VHF Radio course (SRC) Short Range Certificate is essential for anyone who takes a VHF Radio with them to sea, VHF Radio is the primary means of calling for assistance at Sea, taking this course will ensure you understand how to use a VHF Radio correctly and how to use it it case of emergency.
This course will cover the use of VHF Radio equipment onboard a boat and the use of VHF Radio hand held radios with or without (DSC) Digital Selective Calling
All new VHF sets are either fitted, or can be interfaced, with DSC allowing calls to other vessels or shore station, if you hold the ‘old’ VHF licence (Restricted) (pre-1999) you need to upgrade your qualification to the RYA VHF RADIO (SRC) if you purchase new equipment fitted with DSC. This can be achieved by attending this one-day RYA VHF Radio course at a reduced rate.
- CEVNI Online Test
CEVNI stands for Code Européen des Voies de Navigation Intérieure. It is the code governing navigation on the interconnected European inland waterways.
Signs, rules and procedures for navigating the European inland waterways are all included within the CEVNI code, and pleasure craft are expected to know and follow the code.
- RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship (Classroom based)
This course is an excellent introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new, inexperienced, rusty skippers or crew. It is the perfect stepping stone to the more in-depth Day Skipper and Yactmaster theory courses.
Previous Experience Required: This course is perfect for you if are new to sailing, motor boating, powerboating, sea angling and diving as well as experienced dinghy and keelboat sailors and inshore racers.

RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship course is now available to you where ever you have access to the Internet, you will be able to complete the course in your own time at your own pace, this will be backed up with support from your course tutor, via phone, email support and post.
