AJ. Boylan - RYA online Essential Navigation and Seamanship course - July 2014
Dear Paul many thanks for the certificate on completion of my RYA essential Navigation and Seamanship course. I found the course very useful, interesting and informative as I begin to use my boat more.
I would also like to add thanks for the support and help you have offered in guiding me through the course. I would have no hesitation in using Seavoice training again and in recommending them for anyone seeking to learn and improve their skills.
Voiletta Davis – RYA VHF Radio course student Liverpool Sailing Club May 2014

I found it very useful to practice using actual radios and to get familiar with the different types of kit available, in a relaxed environment".
"Your knowledge and experience meant that not only was the course very informative, but also practical, as well as being professionally run"
I have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone .
Martin Blowers – RYA VHF Radio course student Liverpool Sailing Club March 2014
Let me start by thanking you for such a fantastic well run course yesterday. I think I can speak for all the class when I say you are obviously well at home as an instructor in the classroom with excellent, clear instruction combined with the enthusiasm to ensure the course refrains from being boring as many are these days. I will highly recommend you in the future."
David Pummel - RYA Interactive Essential Navigation and Seamanship November 2013
"Id just like to say what a breath of fresh air its been, loved the course how it was set out and I would thoroughly recommend Seavoice to anyone who is considering undertaking an online course, the booking was simple and even when I made the mistake of entering my email wrong you were on the case and had sorted it before Id even rung you. Although I did not need to ask your advice during the course which was made clear was available the email sent out saying how well I was doing was really encouraging and the service and customer focus that Seavoice delivered has made me decide to undertake the Day Skipper course and that's only down to Seavoice cannot praise you all highly enough".
Dave and Nicola Almond - VHF Radio course students - Preston Marina October 2013
“I took part in your VHF course on Saturday 26th October with my 16 year old daughter and we were very impressed with the casual yet thoroughly professional and concise course that you presented with Scott. We left with the feeling we had learnt a lot and feel ready to broadcast on our next flotilla trip. We could, would and have recommended the course to our sailing friends"
Peter Regan - VHF Radio course student - Preston Marina July 2013
"I found the course to be a great confidence booster with a strong practical bias and well structured for newcomers to marine communication".
Ken Gibbons - VHF Radio course student - Preston Marina July 2013
"I completed the course in July 2013. The approach was very relaxed and informally, previous use of a radio was not needed. It was a good informally approach to the training that could save your or somebody else's life.If you are considering going into water in any format - kayak, jet ski, motorboat, diving, sailing etc, then this course will support your enjoyment and give you more confidence in your pass time"
Ken Potter - VHF Radio course student - Preston Marina July 2013
“ Hi Paul Just line to say how I enjoyed the radio course I am 71 years old and was a bit apprehensive about taking part but you immediately put us all at ease and made the whole experience most enjoyable. Thank you for your patience. “
Mark Trevarton - VHF Radio course student - Preston Marina July 2013
“ A very professionally run course delivered by a tutor who has been at the sharp end of receiving distress calls, Paul not only creates a great learning environment in the classroom but is able to convey the ‘real life’ aspect of VHF radio use whatever your chosen activity on the water. ”
Mark Pickering - VHF Radio course student - Preston Marina May 2013
" I wasn't expecting too much from the VHF training day, more of a formality to get the certificate. How wrong was I, a thouroughly informative day brought to life by the quality of the practical experience behind the trainer and thought put into the technical setup."
Matt - Phoenix Divers (BSAC) Skelmersdale.
"Sea Voice training delivers both informative, hands on VHF radio training, alongside a great sense of humour and a very approachable manner. As both a diver and a coastguard myself, I cannot encourage enough knowing correct radio procedure, for both concise movement and safety calls, and also in the event of real difficulty
For us divers, VHF radio is usually our primary means of communication, and more importantly, our lifeline to the emergency services. Knowing you can depend on your training from Paul, himself a highly experienced Coastguard and Rescue Boat Coxswain, is very reassuring!"
Tony Wileman - VHF Radio course student - November 2012
"I Would just like to say how much I enjoyed your VHF radio course, I found it to be a very well presented, friendly & professionally run course. Will be definitely recommending you to family & friends
Hope to see you on the RYA first aid course?"
Steve Thompson - RYA Interactive Essential Navigation and Seamanship course
"I would highly recommend SeaVoice training having just completed the Essential Navigation & Seamanship Online course; the course was very easy to follow & well thought out. Paul was available at any time for any problems and my enthusiasm has been stimulated for more advanced courses. I would strongly recommend Seavoice training and I plan to book a VHF radio course in the near future"
Seavoice Training provided an excellent, no-nonsense course at a well-chosen venue which left me qualified and, more importantly, confident to use my VHF properly. I have, since training with Seavoice, encountered a real emergency at sea and, as the quality training kicked in, was able to deal with the situation calmly.'
'I sat the DSC VHF course this spring and enjoyed every minute of it. Happily, there were plenty of radios to play with and other gizmos like EPIRB's to learn about.
The course material was well presented in a friendly, but efficient atmosphere enjoyed by all - I learnt a lot that dayand would certainly return for anothercertificate course shouldI need to.'
'On behalf of myself and fellow members of the Mersey Motor Boat Club who took part in the VHF Radio course with Seavoice Training a vote of thanks for the professional and personal way it was conducted.'

'Paul’s course was just what I needed; it covered all the things I needed to know to enable me to take a yacht out to sea. Paul has the ability of making complex things simple – and his handy guide on a page was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to get out onto the sea safely.'
RYA Day skipper
'I arrived at the course expecting the day to be rather tedious. However, I was immediately impressed with the organisation of documentation and copious refreshments! The course benefitted from Paul’s relaxed style and constant interaction with the attendees together with his evident enthusiasm for the subject and desire to pass this knowledge on, which I presume has developed in part from his time with H M Coastguard.'

'Living on an inland waterway Dutch barge that is capable of going to sea to cross to the continent I thought it wise to get a VHF radio course under my belt.
The course I chose was Seavoice Training, which I found to be excellent. The instructor, Paul Harrison, gave a concise introduction, leading into the theory, the basic rules and operating sequence of VHF communication. This was followed by a well thought out series of hypothetical emergency situations for pupils to practice on.
I felt it was a worthwhile exercise, I now feel more confident of venturing into tidal, possibly hostile, waters.
I was recommended to Seavoice by a marina owning to friend of mine and have no hesitation of passing on that recommendation.'
Dutch Barge Itchy Feet
I would just like to say thank you very much for a very well organised and presented course. I will feel confident when I set sail from Holyhead in the spring."

"Being a real life HM Coastguard Officer Paul has unique experience in this field, which he very effectively transfers to his students. I feel like I've been given much more than one day of training."
"Paul uses actual radio equipment to train his students from multiple manufacturers, from bargain basement to top of the range. You use all the equipment throughout the day so you have the confidence to use whatever equipment is available to you in an emergency situation."
