This course is an ideal foundation for anyone new to sailing or powerboating or any other leisure sea user, the course is laid out in a fun and interactive way for anyone who needs to learn the basics of Navigation & Seamanship to get out onto the water safely.
This course is taken online, once you have booked the course you will receive a course ticket from us with information on how to access the online course, a further email will be sent to you once we have set up your username and password to access the course this is done within 1 hour of booking or next day.
You will receive a course pack which includes a chart plotter, Weems & Plath Ultralight DIVIDERS/COMPASS, 7″ and a course handbook and an RYA electronic chart plotter.

The online course offers you approximately 6 – 8 hours of interactive learning. Once you have registered for the course, you will have 12 months to pass all the modules, only then will the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship certificate be awarded to you.
