The RYA SRC Exam is the final part you need to take after completing a VHF Radio course or after taking the VHF Radio course online.
The exam is in two sections.
- The RYA SRC Exam paper ( 30 minutes)
- A practical session where you have to make a Routine / Urgency and Distress call using Icom Marine VHF Radio simulators, you will also be tested on GMDSS ( EPRIBs/ SARTs)
The exam usually lasts for 2 hours, you will be notified on the day of your exam if you have achieved the relevant standard and will be given feedback.
Once you have passed the RYA SRC Exam we will send the exam paperwork back to the RYA Certification department in Hamble RYA HQ, please be aware it can take a few weeks before your license arrives via the post.
