Conditions of Booking and Payment
You can book our courses via our online booking system at www.seavoice-training.co.uk.
For a booking to be confirmed, it must be accompanied either by a deposit or payment in full. You must bring the booking confirmation with you on the day (where applicable).
A non-returnable deposit per person is required for each place booked on our classroom-based courses. The online booking process will give you the option to pay the deposit or the full price of the course. If you decide to pay the deposit only, you will be required to pay the remainder of the course fee on the day of your course via cash or debit/credit card. If you are making a group booking for six students or more, we require a non-returnable deposit of £100.
All online, interactive and first aid courses must be paid in full before commencement of the course.
Payment can be made by PayPal/Stripe (PayPal account, debit or credit card), by cheque made payable to ‘Seavoice Training’ or by BACS (Account Name: Seavoice Training | Account No: 01412611 | Sort Code: 30-97-88).
The balance of the classroom based course fee will be taken on the day of the course either by cash or via debit/credit card (PayPal Here card machine).
If required, an invoice can be issued. This must be specified on the booking form at the time of booking along with an official purchase order number. Please note that a booking is not secured until payment is received.
Please ensure that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Booking before you submit a booking. By placing a booking, you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.
Amendments & Cancellations
Amendments to the booking, e.g. an alternative delegate can be made at no additional cost but you must take full responsibility for ensuring that all course materials are passed on and that the new delegate meets any relevant prerequisites for the course. All amendments to the booking must be made in advance and in writing either by post or email.
To cancel a booking, we require at least 7 calendar days’ notice before the commencement of the course. Bookings can only be cancelled in writing either by post or email. We will refund you 25% of your total course cost, if we are notified of your cancellation outside of the 7 days you will forfeit the total course price.
In the event of an emergency cancellation, we require at least 24 hours’ notice by telephone 01704 539578 or by email to info@seavoice-training.co.uk is also required.
We reserve the right to alter or amend the advertised content of any course without notice in order to continuously provide a high-quality service or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to cancel any course. Students will be given at least 7 calendar days’ notice either by email or telephone. Students with a confirmed booking will be offered an alternative date. If no other date can be offered or is suitable we will give you a full refund.
We will not be liable for any losses or expenses including consequential arising from any such alterations or amendments of the course content including cancellation.
Refunds
All deposits are non-returnable. No refunds will be issued apart from those stated under ‘Amendments & Cancellations’ above.
Discounts
We offer discounts for large group bookings on our RYA VHF Radio Course. Contact us for further information.
Delegate Age
Students under the age of 18 years old are welcome on our courses but they must provide Seavoice Training with full written consent from a parent or guardian.
Exams and Certification
RYA VHF SRC Exam fees are payable to the RYA on the day of your assessment at a cost of £60 (as from January 2014). A recent passport-quality photograph (signed and dated on the reverse of the photograph) is required for ID purposes.
Course Attendance and Provisions
Course fees include tuition on the day(s), all relevant course materials, lunch and refreshments (where applicable). Please advise Seavoice Training of any dietary requirements or any allergies when booking.
Travel and accommodation is the responsibility of the delegate and is not included in the course fee.
We do not accept any liability for any theft, loss or damage to any personal property or vehicle whilst parked at the training premises.
All premises used by Seavoice Training are non-smoking and all students are required to adhere to this policy.
Course materials will be posted to the address on the booking form for all courses which require an element of home study. Any lost materials will be reissued at no extra cost upon receipt of an email stating the loss.
Support for all our online courses is available via email support@seavoice-training.co.uk. We aim to respond to all emails within 24 hours. If you are a student outside of the UK time zone, support is available via the above email address or Skype by arrangement.
A fee of £20 will be charged for all telephone calls received outside our normal working hours. An invoice will be raised and is payable within 7 days.
Our normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday – Closed.
Non-Attendance
If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked and have not given prior notice to Seavoice Training then the course fee will remain payable in full and no refund will be issued.
Special Needs
We welcome students with disabilities but you are required to inform Seavoice Training of any special needs e.g. dyslexia, wheelchair access, etc. that have or may require.
Health and Wellbeing
Students should ensure that they are physically able to take part in the course and any pre-existing medical conditions e.g. diabetes, asthma, heart condition, etc. must be declared at the time of booking.
Insurance
Seavoice Training has Public Liability insurance with Direct Line but we would ask that all students are personally insured as well.

Publicity
From time to time, a Seavoice Training representative may take photographs of students during training sessions. Such images shall only be used for publicity and training purposes. If you wish to opt out, please advise your instructor on the day of your course.

Complaints
Complaints in the first instance should be made to the tutor or person in charge. If you are unhappy with the outcome, please contact the Principle, Mr Paul Harrison in writing at the correspondence address or via email to info@seavoice-training.co.uk. A full enquiry will be made and you will receive a response in within 7 calendar days’.
If at any time, you are still not happy with the outcome, you can take your complaint to the RYA, RYA House, Ensign Way, Hamble, Southampton, S31 4RA.
Data Protection
We comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. Full information regarding how we use your data will be provided upon request.
